Flute is easier to learn than clarinet?

I used to play the clarinet for about 2 years in my school group until then, I was transferred to the percussion section, now play the xylophone. I dislike greatly. I prefer still wood, but I can not change back. Is it ok if I buy a used flute in good condition and learning? I'm really interested in music and I can read music too? Advice please? I tried a flute and i think it's nice.

The mouth of the flute is different from that of the clarinet, I play flute and can play the clarinet, but I think the flute is much easier. You can buy a Yamaha used for a relatively cheap and they are excellent flutes. I think that the fingerings are easy to learn; Hope this helps.
