How do regularly mA 9V battery produce?

In fact, I try to find a power supply for a vintage guitar effect pedal: Ibanez CS-505 which runs on 2 9v batteries, but the only info available.

Short answer is, not much …. depends on the type of battery. Here is a sheet on their Energizer 9V alkaline battery. Http: / / data.energizer.com/PDFs/522.pdf From there, it looks like 300mA or it is at most can provide … but do not expect the battery to last very long at this level. A Ni-cad/ni-mh has a lower internal resistance and can therefore put more current, but they tend to be lower capacity. (approximately 200mhA vs. 600mhA almost to alkaline) So you might be OK with a power supply that can provide more than 300mA or so … but, expect more noise than if the food is very well regulated. Oh, and if you listen to the previous poster and use a rechargeable battery, keep in mind lots of cheep "9v" Ni-Cad batteries are actually only 7.2V.
